Gelcoat, the top product of Camaplast
It’s the top product of Camaplast, obtained by superficially treating the GRP laminate with a special resin commercially known as gelcoat.
It’s the major product for the production of sandwich-panels where shining, flexibility, resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents as well as to UV rays are needed.
The gelcoat norm-food qualities allow those laminates to be suitable for being in contact with food. For that reason, this kind of product is mostly employed for tanks and food containers.
The Gelcoat laminate is mostly used for the production of isothermical/ insulated panels (cold storage rooms) and industrial lorries. On a large scale it can be employed for tanks and tankers, caravans and many other products of final high added value.
Thanks to its excellent peculiarities, this product presents a perfect finishing: the fibreglass results as completely hidden by the gelcoat.
Besides, the possibility to realize it with any colour and kind of surface (gloss or mat) makes painting and polishing not necessary though feasible.
Repairing will be easy in case of scratches or casual damages.
Summing up, here below are the main characteristics of the gelcoat product:
